 Mental Recreation

After extensive research, studies have shown that when it pertains to our minds, "use it or lose it" holds true. It seems one of the greatest ways to stave off alzheimers , dementia and other brain disfunctions is to keep your mind mentally sharp. One of the best ways is to be learning new things constantly such as a new language, playing an instrument, or learning a new word daily, for example. These things will continually challenge us and build new connections in our brains. Remember- "A mind once expanded by a new idea never regains its original dimension." Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.  A distinct advantage is that by learning new things, we will take our minds off the stresses of work, finances, or other things that may be weighing on us. Check out some great ideas , suggestions and links below and look for new upcoming articles.
