After extensive research, studies have shown that when it pertains to our minds, "use it or lose it" holds true. It seems one of the greatest ways to stave off alzheimers , dementia and other brain disfunctions is to keep your mind mentally sharp. Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. A distinct advantage is that by learning new things, we will take our minds off the stresses of work, finances, or other things that may be weighing on us.
